There are many legal options that you may look in to and be open to modifications, recasting, and forbearance since all are possible if you have enough equity on your own home. They may say that ignorance is bliss, but when it comes to protecting your own home, it is always better to be armed with knowledge. After all, it is yours and it is your responsibility.
